| RANCH SSR Arabian Ranch is a small Ranch located in Standish, California, 80 miles North West of Reno Nevada. The Pinto/Arabian horse ranch sits on 20 acres and features an 8 stall barn, round pen, arena, several outdoor paddocks and lots of pasture for the horses to run. FAMILY The Raffelson Family has owned horses all their lives. Stace Raffelson owns and operates a boat shop in Susanville. Stace grew-up on a 5000 acre ranch in Northeastern Colorado, where he rode horse’s everyday to get his chores done. Sandy Raffelson works for small Utilities in Herlong. Sandy has her AA in Equine Management and BS in Business Administration Management. Sandy is the primary caregiver to all the Raffelson’s horses and has won several ribbons for her accomplishments in the show ring. The next generation of Raffelson made their show ring debut in 2000 and is currently competing in local actives. Garrett, our oldest, just graduated from UTI in Sacamento and Trent is a Senior in High School. Matteya is currently riding "Monty" in gymkhana events, english, and endurance rides. We purchased Bandero Bey for Matteya this year so she compete in 4H, local, and AHA horse shows. Matteya is also raising an half Arabian son of Beau for her future. HORSES SSR Ranch currently has 12 residents, 6 mares, 5 geldings, 1 junior stallion sired SaudiaBeauHisha. "Beau" was a 4th generation black stallion with old CMK lines you don’t see anymore. “Beau’s” babies have accomplished National Championships in the Show Ring, Endurance and Halter. |
